About Us

Prashanti Kumar is an outstanding postgraduate in Apparel Manufacture and Design from the prestigious Premlila Vithaldas Polytechnic (PVP), SNDT, Mumbai.

Born and brought up in suburban Mumbai, Prashanti was always creative and artistic as a child.The art of creating beautiful clothes always fascinated her from the very young age.

Soon after completing her Bachelor of Commerce she joined PVP, SNDT to fulfil her passionate dream of a career in creating luxuriously-crafted silhouettes for the modern woman. She gained exceptional knowledge under the guidance of industry stalwarts and mastered her craft which won her several prestigious awards at the popular Femina Chrysalis Show including the Best Collection of the year 2004.

Soon thereafter she went on to work with the late ace designer Wendell Rodricks as an assistant designer for two successful consecutive seasons.

With her hands-on experience,dedication and hardwork she successfully launched her eponymous label "Prashanti Kumar" in 2011 and since then there has been no looking back.

A classic example of a woman following her dreams,her design aesthetics have come a long way and created a distinguished identity among fashionistas all over the world today.

Her designs are intrinsic of her signature style of using different elements like structure, fluidity, lightness and texture using innovative techniques of draping and fabric folding, aiming at creating well balanced aesthetically feminine clothes for the sophisticated woman.Her expertise lies in embracing change,re-defining fashion,setting trends and making a difference.
